Honda has issued a recall in the U.S. for around 10,800 MY
2010 to 2011 Accord as well as MY
2011 Pilot vehicles owing to faulty front suspension. Honda further clarified that the recall affects vehicles that were produced at
Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC, or
HMA.
“A potential problem with the machinery used to tighten the spindle nuts on the front axles of both vehicles, as well as the damper attachment bracket bolts for the Pilot, may cause the front suspension of a small number of these vehicles to fail.”
Apparently, a software glitch for the equipment used for the assembly process was identified at HMA.
